Phan Thi Ngoc Tram - Global Citizen Program in Thailand

The place where I live is totally countryside…even you walk 10km away from my host family, you just can speak to a banana tree. And not many people there can speak English, but I guess language is not the only mean to show our thinking and sensation.. that’s why I still alive, can come back to Vietnam and tell my eXchange story.. :D

It’s not my kind to write diary or things like that, since I don’t like to keep any sad memory. But after one and a half month had my internship in Thai, experiencing a spectrum of feelings: from super excited to deeply upset...so many stuff happened continuously made me get used to it, guess I already get the bad damn thing...so lucky me ! Nothing can really bother me anymore, I no longer get the feeling of unstable and worried cause I know whatever happens, I can handle it, and I definitely give it no chance to come to me!!!

Everything started with “IF” ...if I didn’t go for an internship, if i didn’t watch the video about Sawaddee project... Can I still get such unforgettable summer holiday like the one I’ve experienced r ?  # Making friend with some crazy but nice people :P hanging out every weekend and rock Thailand together xD Sharing when we’re down and trolling when we’re up :D gossip when we have nothing to do :3 posting picture and making video when we share a room =] and calling someone b**** cuz they don’t know they’re B( # having crush on someone ;) # having amazing host family, making me feel I’m home :* # nice teachers helped me know more about Thai # learning to make hand-made stuff and having awesome field trip with my school# cute students hugging and kissing me every day, coming to say “I love u” then running away :”) sending me love letters  <3 recharging my energy with their smiles :)  one boy in my school just pays attention in class if he wants to learn ...but in my class he dare to raise his hands and answer my questions :’) so what is it if that’s not magic ?! Sometimes I felt exhausted (u’re 10% available...please plug in!!!!)  but it’s my kids, their smile encouraged me... I was fully charged 100% immediately...  Just one word AWESOME! I got a super super awesome internship, never before I enjoyed my summer in such a meaningful and effective way like that!!! I had chance to interact with so many people from different cultures, worked with lovely students and myself in turn learn a lots from them.

Go for it
